- To start the game, all 52 cards from the standard deck are placed face-up. A stack of 6 cards is placed in each of the eight columns present in the tableau. The rest of the four cards are placed into four cells towards the left in the free cell section.

Important rule
- One of the essential rules of this game is when any column becomes empty, it can be filled using a King of any suit.
- The King can come from the bottom card in the stack or free cell area. Other cards (non-King) can be shifted to a vacant column.
- When you move a King from the free cell to a tableau, it is allowed to be arranged into an empty column. For a card (non-King), it can be shifted to the bottom-most card in a stack which is next in the rank and belong to the same suit.
- For instance, 4 of Spades can be shifted from a free cell to 5 of Spades right at the bottom of the pile.
- Also, you can move a card from a free cell or the bottom of any pile into the foundation if it is an Ace that starts a suit build, or is next in rank for own costume, which widens the build. You can shift a card through the foundation to a free cell or a tableau.
- The suited run comprises consecutive cards located anywhere in any pile, which are of the same suit and with rank at the bottom.
- For instance, from bottom up, the 2 of Diamonds, 3 of Diamonds, and 4 of Diamonds make a 3-card suited run. Thus, one card is ideally 1-card suited run.
- If the free cells are empty in sufficient numbers, a suited run of on card or more can be shifted once for all from pile to different pile. It is considered as a single move only.
